Hello,

I’ve been trying to figure out what to write for this first post for a while now. It was the last puzzle piece before I could publish this page and take my website to the public.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, my name is Alex Baker (short for Alexandria, when I’m feeling especially important). I’m a recent grad from Western Washington University. Don’t worry, I’m not going to dump my entire background here–that’s what the About page is for.

In addition to being a recent graduate, I am also broadly considered a Millennial. In other words, I am young, I have big ideas for my career and a little worldly experience to draw from, I hate talking on the phone, and I love avocados.

In typical Millennial fashion, I also have a fair amount of student debt to deal with. So here’s what I’m thinking: I provide my services as a writer/digital media producer/web content manager, and you pay me for my time and effort.

As someone with a lot of creative energy, I promise you won’t be disappointed in my work. I’m happiest when I have a specific problem to solve, with no single right answer.

So please, take some time to peruse my website. Click through some of my writing samples, and bear in mind that the website itself is also a testament to my web design skills. Hopefully I’ll hear from you soon.
